Dr Ruit and two other surgeons are operating today at Tilganga. They will perform 120 cataract surgeries, but many more lives will change forever. You can only watch in wonder.

Watching the work at Tilganga touched me in a way I can’t fully explain.

All I really know is I need to do something about it.

One thought is making a coffee table book called the Eyes of Nepal. Where every copy sold funds a pair of cataract surgeries at Tilganga.

Apart from anything else I already had some shots. But that’s just one idea.

I love the hope - and irony - in the thought that a visual art like photography might make this happen.

At least that’s the plan. Such as it is.

It’s certainly the dream.
